We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our sales team.

As a member of the Modularity design team you will lead in creating an all in one financial automation & communication platform that enables our customers to:

  • Remove low leverage administrative work from their day
  • Instantly communicate financial data to their entire organization

About the Role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Rep (BDR) to join our Sales Team at Modularity. This role is one of the best ways to get your foot in the door at a leading startup, where you'll be involved in the whole business development process, from the first point of contact to closing sales. In the past our BDRs have gone on to close six figure deals, manage teams of their own, run implementations for new customers, and own marketing analytics for the entire company.

What you will do

  • Generate demand, interest, and excitement for Modularity's product while partnering to create a steady pipeline of business to arm your counterparts on the Account Executive team.
  • Actively contribute to our revenue while learning the ropes of a growth-stage startup and the in and outs of sales.
  • Identify and research niche markets with potential leads.
  • Identify and contact prospects through cold-calling and cold-emailing.
  • Evaluate and improve our competitive positioning.
  • Form and maintain long-term strategic relationships to generate referrals and partnership opportunities.

Who you are

  • You have experience in a phone sales role as part of a SaaS or B2B company OR an eager-to-learn fresh grad who is ready to join a fast-paced, constantly-changing startup.
  • You're able to proactively engage new clients through email and phone communication.
  • You are comfortable with and believe in a consultative and human sales approach -- every conversation is different, and there are no scripts at Modularity.
  • You possess the skills to passionately and clearly articulate the values and benefits of the Modularity's platform to prospects
  • You have a knack for asking great questions to troubleshoot issues with a prospect’s current sales journey.
  • A team-player attitude with a strong desire to help improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and get in on the ground floor of a top startup while launching your career.
  • The ability to adapt and thrive in an environment where the only constant is change.
